Em agosto de 2020, o Dr. Justin Gavanescu chegou a Angola com uma missão clara: liderar e expandir um dos principais centros médicos privados do país. Na altura, o Luanda Medical Center já se destacava pela qualidade dos seus serviços, mas havia espaço para inovar, crescer e oferecer ainda mais à população angolana.

A experiência internacional do Dr. Justin na gestão hospitalar deu-lhe a visão necessária para perceber que Angola estava num ponto de viragem no setor da saúde privada. “Quando aceitei este desafio, sabia que exigiria muito de mim, mas aceitei-o com entusiasmo. Vi uma equipa comprometida, vi potencial, vi um futuro brilhante para a saúde em Angola.”

Os primeiros meses foram intensos. Além das exigências diárias da função, houve um momento que testou a sua liderança de forma inesperada. “Pouco depois de chegar, adoeci e tive de gerir a equipa remotamente. Isso fez-me perceber, de forma muito pessoal, o impacto que temos na vida das pessoas.”

O crescimento do Luanda Medical Center foi uma resposta direta às necessidades dos angolanos. Para o Dr. Justin, a visão para o futuro vai muito além. “Não basta crescer. Temos de crescer da forma certa. Um dos maiores compromissos do Aliva Saúde é garantir que cada vez mais angolanos tenham acesso a cuidados de qualidade sem precisarem de procurar tratamento no exterior. “Sabemos que muitas pessoas viajam para fora do país à procura de cuidados médicos. Queremos mudar essa realidade.”

In August 2020, Dr. Justin Gavanescu arrived in Angola with a clear mission: to lead and expand one of the country’s top private medical centers. At the time, Luanda Medical Center (LMC) was already recognized for its high-quality services, but there was room for innovation, growth, and an even greater contribution to the Angolan population.

“I knew this challenge would demand a lot from me, but I embraced it with enthusiasm.”

Dr. Justin’s international experience in hospital management gave him the vision to recognize that Angola was at a turning point in its private healthcare sector. “When I accepted this challenge, I knew it would push me to my limits, but I embraced it with enthusiasm. I saw a committed team, I saw potential, I saw a bright future for healthcare in Angola.”

The first few months were intense. In addition to the daily demands of the role, an unexpected moment tested his leadership. “Shortly after arriving, I fell ill and had to manage the team remotely. That experience gave me a deeply personal understanding of the impact we have in people’s lives.”

FROM LMC TO ALIVA SAÚDE: A NEW IDENTITY, THE SAME ESSENCE

LMC’s growth was a direct response to the needs of Angolans. The increasing demand for specialized services, cutting-edge technology, and a more comprehensive approach to patient care drove the clinic’s expansion. This natural growth led to a strategic decision: LMC evolved, and today it is known as Aliva Saúde.
